Our PROGRAM is planned around weekly unit themes with an emphasis on a different letter of the alphabet each week. We provide fun activities that enhance opportunities for learning in the areas of:
Opportunities are provided for both parallel and cooperative play. Children are encouraged to "use their words" in problem-solving situations.
- Practical Life Experiences
Opportunities are offered to help children master their environment without adult assistance. Things like zipping, buttoning and washing become successes that build confidence and skill.
Children will be presented with a variety of mathematical activities that emphasize rote counting, number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, shapes and patterning skills.
Children are given the opportunity to become aware of their senses and use them for observation, comparison, and classification.
Children will be guided through activities that focus on letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and emergent reading skills.
Activities that foster development in balance, eye-hand coordination, eye-foot coordination, large and small muscle development and spatial awareness.
We give children a balance of crafts and open-ended activities using a variety of mediums. Individual creativity is encouraged. They enjoy musical exposure through instruments, rhythm and singing.
Chapel is twice a month. Biblical truths and Christian principals are shared through Bible stories, life application stories, puppet stories, object lessons and teacher examples.
