About Crimson Bridge Print

One of our teams in Central AsiaCrimson Bridge has been a ministry of Northwest Family Church since 1995. CB is open to all ages, singles and families, kids and adults. We emphasize linking the generations, discipleship and fulfilling the Great Commission through local and overseas outreaches.

In past years, we've sent teams to our local area here in Auburn as well as Mexico, China, Africa and Central Asia. For more information about our outreaches, visit the Crimson Bridge Web site. You can partner with us through your prayers and financial support. You can contribute financially by going to the NFC online giving form -- specify Crimson Bridge Outreach Teams in the pulldown menu. If you'd like to be on our mailing list and receive updates from the teams while they're on outreach, email us.

More about Crimson Bridge

What Happens? Meeting once a week in small groups, beginning in January and finishing with an outreach in July, you will grow and be challenged in the areas of:

  • knowing God personally
  • hearing his voice
  • spiritual warfare
  • loving his Word
  • sharing your faith
  • relationships
  • local and world evangelism

Learn, apply, grow and share as you participate in outreaches here at home and possibly even the ends of the earth to bring the Gospel to those who have never heard!

How much will it cost? An annual fee of $50/person ($150/family) covers the cost of the discipleship materials and activities. Outreach fees (which are separate) vary considerably from $300 for a local outreach to $2,000 or more for an overseas trip. Outreach fees are typically paid in installments as expenses occur (such as plane tickets and visa applications).

What kinds of outreach opportunities will there be? We'll be doing short local outreaches during the year: rest homes, prayer walks, feeding the homeless, etc. The big outreach (lasting one to two weeks on average) happens in the Summer. You can choose from the following team options:

  • Home - The Home Team will participate in local ministry activities (like helping with the NFC Vacation Bible School) and offer prayer support for the other teams. Fees for this team are minimal -- usually less than $100.
  • Local - Local outreaches are usually within driving distance from Auburn. Fees are typically around $300 - $400/person.
  • Overseas - You name it -- we've gone to South America, Asia, Africa and Europe. Fees for overseas outreaches are usually in the $2000 - $3000 range (airfare being the largest part).

How are outreach funds raised? Raising funds is always a stretch of faith. But God is faithful to supply the need when we attempt big things for His Kingdom! The responsibility for raising the funds and getting them in on time is sqarely on the shoulders of the individual participant. However, each team is encouraged to work together so that no one feels alone in raising their money. We hold one large fundraising event each year -- a dessert auction -- in the Spring. Proceeds from the auction are distributed according to team budget (teams with a larger amount to raise get a larger percentage), but the auction alone is never enough to fund the whole outreach. Participants are encouraged to send support letters to friends and family and to find extra work (mowing lawns, for example) to raise the needed cash.

The fundraising process is a time of teambuilding and faithbuilding. We've heard testimony after testimony of God's faithfulness in this area. Just like with the fish and loaves in Luke chapter 9, we give what we have and then watch God bring the increase!

How do I sign up? You can register for Crimson Bridge during the open registration period in January.

Who We Are

Our Mission Statement: Knowing God (1 Peter 2:9) through multi-generational, family based discipleship, and together making Him known (2 Corinthians 5:20) in our families, neighborhoods, nation and around the world, bringing joy to God's heart through worship, intercession, thanksgiving and praise.

Vision of Crimson Bridge: God has a special destiny for the emerging generation. This generation has been called by God to take part in the completion of the Great Commission. Even from a young age a child can have an intimate relationship with God. A primary goal of Crimson Bridge is to give children, youth and their families opportunities to minister to God and bring joy to His heart.

A child's spirit is complete and eternal when they are born. God created us so our spirits can have relationship with Him from a very young age. (There is no Jr. Holy Spirit.) God wants the generations to link together so each age group contributes and learns from the other generations. God has called families to have a central role in extending and establishing His kingdom. God wants to influence the world as nuclear and extended families serve Him together. By linking the generations we give children and youth opportunities to learn about God through interaction with other generations.

Affiliation with King's Kids: We are a ministry of Northwest Family Church and accountable to the pastor, but we are also affliliated with King's Kids International, a ministry of Youth With A Mission. We use many of the King's Kids resources and attend training events. Learn more about King's Kids
